Tuna belly salad made with veggie snackium

Summer is just around the corner, and the season for light, fresh salads has already begun. Assorted salads, with pasta, or a mixture of lettuce, or fruit; accompanied by turkey, chicken, tuna, tuna belly or eels. There are endless combinations.

Taking advantage of the good weather, Velarte brings you a recipe that everyone likes and that is a departure from a typical lettuce salad with its meaningless ingredients. At Velarte we wanted to turn the concept of salad upside down, so we have created a new type of salad: Cold tuna belly salad with piquillo peppers and cherry tomatoes.


  • Piquillo peppers
  • Tin of tuna belly
  • Chives
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil

The preparation process is very simple:

Step 1: Cut the piquillo peppers into strips

Step 2: Cut the cherry tomatoes in half

Step 3: Add the tuna belly slices

Step 4: dress with chives, a dash of oil and salt and pepper to taste.

What’s missing? Add some veggie snackium as an accompaniment. The taste of vegetables, like pepper and ginger, goes perfectly with the flavours of this delicious salad.
